Photovoltaic large-scale plants – effective use of solar energy
The future belongs to renewable energies. The aim is to reduce fossil fuels and thus minimise CO2 emissions. A high concentration of CO2 in the air is demonstrably responsible for climate change. In addition to wind energy, the use of solar energy is the most important source of renewable energy. In contrast to wind turbines, large-scale photovoltaic systems can be installed more flexibly and with less effort. The energy obtained from solar energy can be used effectively.
What types of large Photovoitalk plants are there?
Large-scale solar plants can be set up flexibly. A free area is needed that should be as spacious as possible. In recent years, in many regions fields that were no longer subject to cultivation have been converted for the construction of large-scale solar plants. It is important that the open space is not interrupted by tall trees. The branches and leaves were used to collect the energy of the sun and light. As a consequence, the performance of the Photovoitalk is lower. Many large Photovoitalk plants were built in rural areas and along the motorways. There was a permanent redesign of the open spaces, as the large solar plants can remain in operation for years and decades.
Installation on a roof system
As an alternative to open space, it is possible to install the Photovoitalk large-scale systems on a roof. This is mainly practiced in the construction of private single-family houses, but also in the construction and renovation of multi-family houses. It is also possible to install the Photovoitalk large-scale systems on commercial buildings. The company or the owner of the building does not only profit from an interesting additional income. There is the possibility of reusing unused halls and company buildings. This can be recommended if the buildings are empty but should not be demolished.
It is possible to cover the entire roof area with solar cells and, depending on the size of the building, to produce a total output of several megawatts of electricity. Buildings that are still in operation are also suitable for the installation of Photovoitalk large-scale systems. As a rule, classic roofs are also suitable for the installation of Photovoitalk systems in older buildings. The larger the roof area, the more economical the installation can be. Another advantage is a free location of the building without a large proportion of trees and without surrounding forests.
What should be considered when building a solar system on an open area and large roof area?
Before planning the Photovoitalk, it is important to check whether the open space is suitable for the installation of a large Photovoitalk system. Since the area is permanently equipped with solar cells, agricultural use must also be ruled out for the future. Areas that are only temporarily fallow are not suitable for the installation of a large solar system.
In principle, commercial areas that are designated as building land can also be used for the installation of a large-scale solar system. In this case, it should be considered whether the use as commercial space will not offer higher income in the medium term. Possibly the construction of a commercially used hall or an industrial building can be combined with the installation of a large Photovoitalk plant. Then it is possible to obtain income from the commercial enterprise and the production of energy.
Regulations for the installation of a large-scale Photovoitalk system on roofs
In this context, it is necessary to check whether the roof system has sufficient stability for the installation of the large Photovoitalk system. In older industrial buildings there are usually no problems in this respect. However, if it is a warehouse or a commercial building, which was built in lightweight construction, a structural engineer is required. The Photovoitalk large plant has a high weight. The safe installation must therefore be checked in advance and approved by the authorities.
When is it worth building a solar plant on an open space or roof area and what subsidies are available?
For the installation and operation of a large Photovoitalk system, subsidies can be claimed. In a law passed in August 2014, it was decided that operators of large Photovoitalk plants would receive a feed-in tariff. In order to receive this subsidy, the total output of the plant must not exceed ten megawatts. Some companies operate plants with a higher output. The energy generated is marketed through direct sales. Here, too, interesting profits can be made. New plants with an output of more than 500 kilowatt peak, which were commissioned after the first of August 2014, are required by law to sell electricity via direct marketing.

What types of solar systems can be installed on an open area or roof?
The energy generated on the roof systems or on an open area can be used in different ways. This makes it possible to convert the energy into a generator and thus to generate electricity cheaply in your own company. Excess energy can be marketed through direct sales. Alternatively, the energy generated can also be used to support the preparation of hot water. This is not only interesting for companies, but also for public authorities and publicly used buildings.
What advantages do entrepreneurs have when building a solar system?
The construction of a solar plant can be promoted tax-exempt. In addition, there are cheap loans that support the production of renewable energies. These loans are granted by KfW-Bank, among others. Private individuals can also make use of the loans.
Interesting profits can be made by promoting plants with an output of up to 10 megawatts and the possibility of selling the generated energy through direct sales. Entrepreneurs can earn these profits in addition to their own business activities. However, the sale of solar energy can also open up new sources of income. Thus enterprises were created, which concentrate completely on the marketing of solar energy.
What is the minimum size of a roof area?
About seven square meters of roof area are required to generate 1 kilowatt of peak energy. The calculation of the required area for the generation of energy within the scope of the subsidy is based on this value. The larger the roof area, the higher the profit. It is advantageous if the required output of 10 megawatts peak is achieved.
Does a roof rental make sense?
In any case, renting the roof to generate solar energy makes sense, as it opens up a permanent and very lucrative source of income. This applies both to the receipt of subsidies and to direct sales.
